100% Riesling. Inspired by the great wines of Germany and winemaker Armin Diel, this wonderfully complex off-dry Riesling is crafted by Long Shadows’ Director of Winemaking, Gilles Nicault. Small lots of handpicked grapes were gently sorted and whole cluster pressed to avoid imparting bitterness before fermenting in stainless steel tanks at a cool 60°F to preserve fresh fruit aromas and flavors.

Pamplin started out in the wine business in 1997 purchasing Oregon’s Chateau Benoit. The winery was renamed Anne Amie Vineyards after Pamplin’s two daughters. Founding a separate winery focused on Bordeaux blends, Pamplin looked to the vineyards of Washington State. Pamplin makes two wines, a Proprietary Red Wine, which is released in the fall, and JRG. The JRG is named in tribute to Pamplin’s three grandsons Justin, Robert, and Grant. Aged for 20 months in French oak, 15% new, 32% single-use and 53% neutral.
